Soviet footballer who played against Pele died

The former striker of Dynamo Tbilisi and the USSR national team Vladimir Barkaya has died, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia informs.
The former striker has died at the age of 85. He played two games for the USSR national team and scored two goals. He played for Dynamo Tbilisi in 1957-1967. In 1964 he became the champion of the USSR.
Barkaya played on July 4, 1965 at Luzhniki in a friendly match against the Brazilians with Pelé in the squad. The Brazilians won 3-0, Pele scored a double.
Pele, who won three world championships, died the day before.
