World Cup 2022 overshadowed all events in Russian football, says Boyarintsev
The World Cup eclipsed all events in Russian football and became the main sports tournament of the year, Novosibirsk head coach Denis Boyarintsev told RB Sport.
– The World Cup overshadowed all the events in Russian football. The finale was awesome. The most important event of this year is the 2022 World Championship, which I personally really liked. It seems to me that this tournament has overshadowed any football events in every country in the world,” Boyarintsev said.
Argentina won the World Cup in Qatar after beating France in the final.
