Football is dead. Fans react to Ronaldo’s move to An-Nasr
Fans on the social accounts of the Saudi Al-Nasr expressed an ambiguous attitude towards the transfer to the club of the five-time winner of the Golden Ball, Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Allah, Allah, please don’t forget what happens to the best football players of all time in the hands of the Saudis,” wrote one user. At the same time, the user ridiculed the abbreviation GOAT (Greatest Of All Time, the greatest of all time), attaching a photo of the Saudis eating goat meat (goat – English goat).
“As a United fan, I would also walk away for $200 million a year if I were 40 when my career is coming to an end. Other players would not be able to earn even 1% of this amount at his age. Its brand image and decades of high-level play are paying off. Congratulations, said another.
“The saddest day of my life,” writes a third fan.
“Please cancel it, please, Cristiano, no. This is a fake, I don’t want to believe it, stop it, please, another fan asks.
“Football is dead,” predicted another.
Agreement 37-year-old Ronaldo with the club from Saudi Arabia is designed for two years. According to CBS Sports Golazo journalist Ben Jacobs, the total income of a football player can reach up to $ 200 million a year.
