FIFA and FIFPro agreed to pay compensation to 10 more former players of Russian clubs
General Director of the All-Russian Trade Union of Football Players (OPSF) Alexander Zotov spoke about the payment of compensation to 10 former players of Russian clubs who lost their professional status and went bankrupt.
– The guys started to receive letters from the leaders of the fund on FIFA and FIFPro letterheads that their applications submitted through the trade union were satisfied. Ask to provide current accounts of the players. This is good news on New Year’s Eve, – Zotov told RB Sport, without specifying the names of the players.
Tambov, Amkar, Kuban, Tosno, Salyut, Avangard and a number of other teams have ceased to exist in Russia recently. Each went bankrupt without paying part of the wages to the players.
Earlier, Pavel Pogrebnyak, Yuri Dyupin, Evgeny Frolov, Alexander Salugin, Janusz Gol, Petar Zanev, Mladen Kashchelan received payments from the FIFA and FIFPro funds.
