The former head coach of the Russian national team Valery Gazzaev admitted to Sport Day after Day that he had not heard of Vladimir Ivich, who was appointed head coach of Krasnodar.
Earlier, the Krasnodar press service reported that Ivic had taken over as head coach of the team. The agreement with the coach, who previously worked at Maccabi Tel Aviv, PAOK and Watford, is for two years.
— I do not know such a coach? Where is he from? I don’t know what club he worked for. This is the first time I hear such a name,” Gazzaev said.
After 17 rounds, Krasnodar takes 8th place in the WORLD RPL standings. The team spent the first half of the season under the leadership of Oleksandr Storozhuk.
