Ex-player of the Russian national team Igor Shalimov told Sport Day after Day that Artem Dziuba has no chance to reach the previous level of play.
Earlier, Match TV reported on Dzyuba’s negotiations with the Turkish club Sivasspor. The club offered the Russian striker a contract for 1.5 years, the head coach of the team Ryza Chalymbay is interested in his services. Dziuba has had options to continue his career in the UAE and Saudi Arabia since the summer. One of the proposals was for $3 million a year.
– Did Dzyuba manage to play in Sivasspor?
— I think he is done with football.
– Does it make sense to consider proposals from clubs?
– He can consider offers from clubs, but he will face what he faced in the Turkish first team: he will either leave or he will be kicked out.
– Dziuba will not have a second chance in Turkey?
– They can give him the third, and fifth, and tenth level. I think that he has no chance to reach the level of play and salary that he had. Dziuba will not play in the composition. He is not used to pulling the team out of difficult situations.
The last team of the 34-year-old Dzyuba was the Turkish Adana Demirspor, from where he left in November. In five matches for this team, the Russian scored one goal.
