France coach Didier Deschamps believes that some of the team’s players have not reached the level of the 2022 World Cup final.
We had a quality opponent. We weren’t surprised by how well they played. In the starting lineup of our team there were 4-5 players who were not physically fit enough. There is still an exciting moment, because for some this final was the first. We were gone for a while, then we came back. Five of the 11 players who started in the starting lineup failed in such a game and against such an opponent. They did not match the level of such a match.
