The home side were superior from start to finish, leaving the Londoners with few options to respond, who barely finished scoring in the second half. Number 26 opened the box with a beautiful free kick goal long range that left Kepa Arrizabalaga with no options.

A few minutes later, a Kai Havertz handball inside the area was ruled out and the Argentinian striker made it 2-0. A great team game that ended with Foden going 3-0 up and towards the end Mahrez again scored for Chelsea from the penalty spot to end a great party for the Citizens who leave the 2022 competition finalists on the road and proceed to the next case.
