Lokomotiv football player Karpukas believes that the team does not take its place in the RPL table

Lokomotiv in the current season shows a result below its capabilities and after the winter break will be able to rectify the situation, according to the midfielder of the Moscow team Artem Karpukas.

After 17 rounds of the WORLD RPL, the railway workers are in 14th place in the standings with 13 points.

– To be honest, I already want to start working at the training camp. I managed to miss football, training. Before the holidays, each player of the team received a special program from the coaching staff, according to which they had to train independently and keep fit. I can say that it helps a lot, a useful thing. In any case, even on vacation you try to move, so there will be no problems with getting in shape.

What are the tasks for the spring part of the championship? First of all, fix the standings. I have no doubt that we will succeed. Definitely now “Locomotive” is not in its place in the table. I am sure that the changes made in the leadership of the club and the team will bring results. Already at the end of the autumn part of the season, it was clear that we were on the right track. Therefore, now we need to work hard at the training camp in order to approach the first matches in optimal condition,” Karpukas told Sport24.

Last summer, German specialist Josef Zinnbauer was appointed head coach of Lokomotiv. In October, Zinnbauer and sports director Thomas Zorn left the club, and Andrey Fedorov became acting head coach. In mid-November, Mikhail Galaktionov, who previously worked at PARI NN, took over as head coach of the team.
