Former Dynamo Moscow sports director Roman Oreshchuk assessed striker Artem Dzyuba’s chances of returning to Zenit St. Petersburg.

– Are there any clubs in the RPL that need Dziuba?

“I think there are a lot left. The only question is financial. Who would refuse such a player? But he knows his own worth, which is why many clubs hesitate here, not understanding why they should pay such money to an age-old footballer. If it was adequate money, then why not. I think that any club is interested in Dzyuba playing for him.

Even from the top five. Why is he a bad player? With anyone ready to argue and compare. Dziuba cannot find a club, not because they don’t want him, but because of financial requests that not every club can pull, Roman Oreshchuk noted.

– Isn’t it humiliating for Dzyuba that his services are offered to clubs, and not vice versa?

– Not humiliating, it’s a normal story. That’s what agents are for. They offer it because they want to find an acceptable option – a club that is ready to pay him. There are no such clubs. He won’t call himself. A self-respecting football player does the right thing by not calling. Finding a club for your client is the job of an agent.

– More specifically, in which club can Dzyuba be?

– Whoever gets the money – there he will be. Wherever. On any team. Be it Ufa, be it Zenit.

– Can he return to Zenit?

“Now, probably not. They could keep it, but then the problem was finances, which Artem did not accept. I know that Zenit offered him conditions for him to stay, but he didn’t want to, ”Sports Day after Day quotes Oreshchuk.

Earlier it became known that the striker and the Turkish club “Adana Demirspor” terminated the contract by mutual agreement of the parties. In total, the 34-year-old footballer played five matches for the team and scored one goal.

Before moving to the Turkish club, Dziuba played for Zenit St. Petersburg, spent 249 matches for the blue-white-blue and scored 108 goals.
