The former coach of Krylia Sovetov, Anji, Amkar and the Russian national team Gadzhi Gadzhiev told RB Sport that Quincy Promes, who did not fly with Spartak to the first training camp in the UAE, would not finish some part of the work, but will be able to catch up at other training camps with the team.
– The first training camp is an important stage of preparation for the season, – says Gadzhiev. – But I have no doubt that Promes will receive an individual program, it will allow him to control his condition. Perhaps one of the fitness coaches will personally deal with him, since Quincy is an important player for the team. Plus, Spartak has a youth team, he can work with them.
– But this is not quite the same as “retraction” with the base?
— Of course, some part of the work will not be completed by Promes. But he can make up for it at other training camps. And a lot will depend on how he will work himself. He won’t have to get used to Spartak for a long time in the spring, since Quincy has long been “built into” the team, he knows what and how. If a beginner got into such a situation, then it would be a different matter.
Promes, 31, has made 23 appearances for Spartak in all competitions this season, scoring 17 goals and providing 7 assists.
