Former Russian national team player Roman Shirokov has a positive attitude towards the possible transfer of Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Dmitry Barinov to Turkish Besiktas.
– Lokomotiv should cope without him. If Barinov wants to leave and there is a worthy offer, then why not? In general, Besiktas is a good team.
Can Besiktas be considered as a springboard to an even better championship? Naturally. Dmitry himself said that he has a goal and a dream – to play in Europe. God forbid that everything works out, – Shirokov said to the “Championship”.
In November, in an interview with Match TV, Barinov announced interest in him from Turkey, but did not specify the club. According to the football player, he would like to try himself in Europe, but he is ready to move only to those teams that play in European competitions. Besiktas will soon send an official offer for the player to Lokomotiv.
Barinov, 26, has made 20 appearances for Lokomotiv this season, scoring one goal. The winter transfer window in Turkey is open from Thursday until February 8th.
