The ex-head coach of Spartak Massimo Carrera said that striker Alexander Kokorin is the strongest Russian football player, and the current forward of the Red-Whites Alexander Sobolev could not prove himself in the top clubs in Italy.
– Sobolev is a good player, but I think it would be difficult for him to play for the most important teams in Italy, he would not be able to prove himself in Juventus or Roma until he grew up. If we take, for example, Fiorentina, then even Kokorin did not play there. In my opinion, Alexander Kokorin is the strongest Russian football player I have ever seen. He has insane qualities,” Carrera told RB Sport.
The Transfermakt portal estimates Kokorin at 800 thousand euros, and Sobolev at 9 million euros.
