The fact is that it was at this moment that the VAR system did not notice the obvious offside position of the Elche striker Ezequel Ponce. The ex-Spartak player took the ball in an offside position and scored a goal, which fixed the final result – 1:1.
Cadiz noted that “the umpiring team made a grave and unforgivable mistake”. According to the club, the only way to fix it is to replay the final minutes of the match.
