“Barinov needs to try himself in Turkey, but he can always return” – Bilyaletdinov
Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Barinov has long wanted to try his hand at Europe, and the Turkish championship is interesting enough to prove himself there, says former Everton player Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.
Besiktas began negotiations on the transfer of the captain of Lokomotiv. Match TV reported that the Turkish club sent the first official offer, in which the player’s transfer fee was only 1.2 million euros. In the near future, the Moscow club expects to increase the amount to 3 million.
– He has said more than once that he wants to try his hand at the European Championship. Let him try. Of course, this is a loss for Lokomotiv. Especially now the team is in such a situation that it is necessary to correct the standings.
Considering that we are excluded from European football and there is an opportunity for our guys to get there, let them show themselves there too. The Turkish championship is quite interesting. Ozdoev is doing pretty well, Dziuba did not succeed. You have to try, but you can always return,” Bilyaletdinov told Metaratings.ru.
Barinov, 26, has made 20 appearances for Lokomotiv this season, scoring a goal and making an assist. His contract runs until June 30, 2024. Transfermarkt values the Russian midfielder at 9 million euros. The winter transfer window in Turkey is open until February 8.
