Former Krasnodar head coach Igor Shalimov said that Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Barinov should move to Besiktas.

Besiktas began negotiations on the transfer of the captain of Lokomotiv. Match TV reported that the Turkish club sent the first official offer, in which the player’s transfer fee was only 1.2 million euros. In the near future, the Moscow club expects to increase the amount to 3 million.

– How do you like Lokomotiv?

“I believe that Galaktionov can improve the situation,” Shalimov is quoted as saying by RB Sport. – They have a good squad compared to Khimki and Torpedo. But the new coach has no experience in saving teams from the relegation zone. Everything will depend on the first games of the championship – if there are two defeats, the situation will approach a tragedy.

– Does Barinov have to go to Besiktas?

– I think we should go. Besiktas is a team with a name, full stands, there is always a stir around them. I think it’s worth a try. But we’ll talk about it when we move on. And then we also talked a lot about Zakharyan, but he stayed at Dynamo.

Barinov, 26, has made 20 appearances for Lokomotiv this season, scoring a goal and making an assist. His contract runs until June 30, 2024. Transfermarkt values the Russian midfielder at 9 million euros. The winter transfer window in Turkey is open until February 8.
