“Before such a transfer, you had to think with your head.” Kavazashvili on Mevli’s departure from Spartak

Former goalkeeper of Spartak and the USSR national team Anzor Kavazashvili believes that defender Mikha Mevlya should not have been invited to the capital’s club from the very beginning.

Spartak on Wednesday announced the termination of the contract with Mevley. The 32-year-old Slovenian has played seven games for the Red-Whites.

– It is high time. There will be no regret, because his game does not correspond to the level of Spartak. The one who invited him to the team should have made a big remark. In what form it will be done – I do not know, I do not vouch to speak and do not take responsibility for making claims. But, when they take to such clubs as Spartak, Zenit, CSKA and many other leading teams, you must first think before the transfer.

It should not be in such clubs that a player is taken in order for someone to make money on it. Therefore, it is necessary to think many times before signing the contract, to find out if this person can play at all. Not everyone needs to be taken to the teams that are the leaders of the championship. And Spartak is one of the leaders.

I think they did the right thing by freeing up space. Well, they will pay him some kind of penalty, or even suddenly the contract provides that if he does not meet the level of skill, then there will be no compensation … However, this is another story, – Kavazashvili told Match TV.

Zidane is back. The Frenchman will lead one of the strongest teams in the world

Legendary former football player Zinedine Zidane Discussions were held regarding cooperation with the French Football Federation. This was reported by Footmercato and L’Équipe.

The French national team and technical staff have started their preparations for the World Cup to be held in the USA. Les Bleus have friendly matches scheduled for March (against Brazil and Colombia) and June (against Ivory Coast).

The upcoming World Cup will be Didier Deschamps’ last match with the French team he has managed since 2012.

French Football Federation and Zidane’s delegation met to discuss future cooperation. One of Zinedine’s assistants is expected to be the famous specialist David Bettoni, with whom he previously worked at Real Madrid.

The sides also discussed Zidane’s desire to have a squad large enough by national team standards, including a data analysis unit.

The world football legend plans to coordinate these steps separately with the federation, whose policy does not provide a budget increase for the national team staff.

In the updated ranking of the world’s strongest teams, the French team ranked third after Spain and Argentina.
