Turkish Cup match was interrupted due to brass knuckles thrown on the field
The match between Ankaragucu and Besiktas in the 1/8 finals of the Turkish Cup had to be stopped for a few minutes after brass knuckles were thrown onto the field from the stands.
The home team were leading 1-0 when something fell on the field from the stands in the 60th minute. The midfielder of the guests Gedson Fernandes picked up brass knuckles and moved to the sideline to pass the item to the fourth referee of the match. At the same time, one of the coaching benches wanted to hide what was happening and tried to take brass knuckles from the player.
The home team won the meeting in a penalty shootout – 4:3.
