The departure of midfielder Daniil Fomin from Dynamo will be a loss for the club, but not a huge one, former Dynamo sports director Roman Oreshchuk told Sport Day by Day.
Earlier, the player’s agent Alexander Manyakov told Sport24 about the possible departure of the 25-year-old footballer.
– Fomin’s departure will be a loss for Dynamo, but not a huge one. The Fomin that was last year and the current Fomin is heaven and earth.
The question is different. Fomin needs players who will do fast work for him and quickly switch the style of the team. Such was Shimansky, who took a lot of balls for Fomin and dispersed attacks. And Zakharyan was like that in a slightly different form. And Fomin is, as they say, the boss of the team. His forte is the last pass, but definitely not the intensity, speed and decision making. A good player, no questions. But it certainly won’t be a huge loss.
– Do you think Fomin will play in Europe?
– Look where. Where intensity is needed, no. Where brains are needed – yes. Fomin has a very large amount of running work. Yes, at the same pace, but a large volume. We need to find a team in which he would not do sprints, accelerations, switching from defense to attack and from attack to defense. Here in such a team he will play 100 percent. And, for example, in the championship of Germany, England and France it will be difficult for him to play. In Spain maybe. There is smart football, you can hide behind the backs of the players who will do the dirty work. It all depends on the club or championship that will call him.
– Understandably.
– Let’s do it, well, what kind of foreign country is now for Fomin, well, where? Should I go to the Latvian RFS or somewhere else? Well, you can go. But we are talking about the fact that if you move from Dynamo, then move to a good team? There is no point.
With the salary that Fomin has at Dynamo, will he want to fall in money? You understand, here’s a simple example – the Bundesliga. Good championship? Great. But there are five or six teams that pay well. All other teams have a financial level below Dynamo. Much. Be it Mainz or Augsburg. Well, who will go from our players? Young people who have small contracts can go, for them this is a good help in raising their salaries.
Secondly, as far as I know, even Chelsea could not buy Zakharyan because of problems with payments. I understand, just because of this. Where will Fomin go, what team? In Turkey, there are no questions. He can go to any team and will be in good standing. There is not as intense football as in Europe. To Saudi Arabia, the Emirates – there is no problem at all. To Europe, by transfer? Dynamo will definitely want big money for him, because he is a player of the Russian national team.
Every transfer window Fomin goes somewhere. I’m already tired of listening to where he goes – there are already so many clubs that are interested in Fomin. Let him go, I’ll just be happy for him and his agent.
This season, the 25-year-old midfielder has played 16 matches in the WORLD RPL, scored 3 goals and made 3 assists.
