UNAM Pumas terminated the contract with Daniel Alves

Mexican Circle”AN M Pumas terminated the contract with the defender Daniele Alves.

The reason was an investigation into an alleged sexual abuse case. The player had previously been arrested in Barcelona, the court decided to keep him in custody for the duration of the investigation without the right to bail.

President of the club Leopold Silva commented this:

The Universidad Nacional club decided to terminate Daniel Alves’ contract from that moment. We cannot allow one person’s behavior to tarnish the club and its values.

This termination of the contract may have consequences. The club may be subject to sanctions by the player, sponsors or third parties. Alves’ contract with “AN M Pumas” operated until the summer of 2023.
