“Artyom hasn’t been in good shape for a long time.” Bubnov estimated Dziuba’s chances to play in the RPL again

Expert Sportbox.ru – about the possible transition of two veterans of the national team in the Moscow “Torpedo”.

Dziuba is no longer in good shape

Dziuba, at the end of the contract with Zenit, did not meet the requirements that were imposed on him. It was not for nothing that Semak first put the striker on the bench, and then the club did not conclude a new agreement with him.

The striker did not fit into the future concept of the team from St. Petersburg. Due to his age, Artyom could no longer boast of his former functionality. At the same time, you need to understand that such a dependent footballer needs quality service. In Turkey, all these problems have come out. There was no longer such trust and authority that Dziuba had in the RPL.

At the same time, both Zenit and even Adana Demirspor have at their disposal better players than those currently playing in Torpedo. In the Moscow club, it will be much harder for him to show himself, given Artyom’s dependence on partners.

In such clubs as Torpedo, physical training and the desire to leave all forces on the field play a huge role. It is through dedication that lesser teams make up for their lack of skill. Artyom’s lack of motivation will definitely not help him to play in the “black and white”.

The striker’s age is also not the same to run around the field for 90 minutes. A possible transfer of Antoni Baroan looks more promising. They have similar physical data, but the Frenchman is much younger. He will be much more likely to play in the RPL, and then go on promotion. Artyom hasn’t been in good shape for a long time. He has already missed the team’s first training camp. There are really a lot of problems with Dzyuba now.

Cheryshev will be prevented by injuries

Cheryshev was brought up in Spain from childhood, and he has a European mentality. Denis never really wanted to go to Russia, especially now the midfielder is already 32 years old. For a long time he went to promising players, but nowhere, by and large, did not gain a foothold.

And everywhere he was pursued by injuries. Changing the country also did not help much in this regard. Even in “Venice” he has health problems. Cheryshev did not have time to play there even one season, and the club already wants to get rid of him. In this situation, it is dangerous to take a traumatic player at a career retirement, as in the case of Dzyuba. This is complicated by the fact that he has never played in Russia.

RPL does not suit Denis. Here, a lot of emphasis is placed on functional training, and during the games there are enough hard joints. Most likely, Cheryshev and in the “Torpedo” will quickly be on the list of injured, and well, if not for a long time. “Black and White” now need fighters who will be plastered on the field for every point. Signing such age players is always a big risk.

Although now there are substantive conversations about the signing of both players, but their transfers raise many questions. The success of such acquisitions depends on the terms on which the parties agree. But something tells us that none of them will play for free at Torpedo, and they are unlikely to recoup large salaries.

Semin spoke out in favor of returning to the classic format of the Russian Cup

The old format of the Russian Cup with knockout matches made the football tournament more entertaining and understandable. This opinion was expressed by the former coach of the Russian national team Yuri Semin.

Previously, the Telegram channel Sport Baza reported that the Russian Football Federation (RFU) plans to change the format of the tournament, returning to a single-elimination format.

“I liked the old format of the Russian Cup. It was a real cup draw. I think it’s worth returning to the classic system of knockout matches,” Semin said.

“It was more interesting like this: you arrive in a Second or First League team, you see the full stadiums, the real emotion. This format is closer to me. Everything is clear and understandable, if you lose you’re out,” he added.

From the 2022/23 season the tournament is divided into “path RPL” and “Path of the regions”. “Path RPL“includes the clubs of the Russian Premier League, divided into four groups, playing two rounds, a total of six matches. According to the results of the group stage, the first two places go to the upper round of the playoffs, the third to the lower round, and the fourth is eliminated. The Path of Regions consists of qualifying rounds involving amateur teams and clubs from the Second League. At the stage of the fourth preliminary round, clubs from the First League join the winners of the third round. Sixteen winners play according to the cup (one match), the top four teams are added to the lower round of the Russian Cup playoffs. The winners of the “path” will meet in the super final RPL” and “paths of the regions”.

The current holder of the Russian Cup is Moscow CSKA.
