Former head coach of the Russian national team Anatoly Byshovets doubts that Dynamo forward Fyodor Smolov will be interested in moving to Istanbul Basaksehir.

Earlier media reported that the Turkish club offers the Russian striker a contract for 2.5 years.

“They don’t look for good from good. Smolov’s transfer to Istanbul Basaksehir will depend on conditions. I don’t think that Fedor can be attracted to leaving for Turkey, especially since Dynamo2 has opportunities, good conditions and goals. Dynamo is a promising team. It makes no sense to go to this Turkish club. Smolov’s age makes itself felt, we need to think about the future, – quotes the words of Byshovets “RB Sport”.

Smolov has been playing for Dynamo since January 2022. The striker, who turns 33 in February, has scored nine goals and five assists in 20 games this season.
