“If Dzyuba has no offers in the RPL, then no one needs him” – Kiryakov

The head coach of the football club “Leningradets” Sergei Kiryakov called the possible reasons why Russian clubs do not sign striker Artem Dzyuba.

Dzyuba, 34, has been without a club since leaving Turkey’s Adana Demirspor last November. As part of the Dziuba team, he played five matches and scored one goal. Earlier it became known that Torpedo refused the option of inviting a football player.

– If Dzyuba has no offers in the RPL, then no one needs him. Some may be afraid to take him, because the transition may affect the atmosphere in the team. The second reason is game moments. Many teams need more mobile forwards, who are needed not only for attacking actions, but also to do a lot of defensive work. Here you need to weigh all the pros and cons in order to invite players like Dzyuba to your place. At the moment, there are a number of clubs in the RPL that, for certain reasons, do not want to have Dzyuba in their composition.

At a lower level, they are unlikely to be financially able to pull – the requests are probably large. The limits to which you can go down in salary are probably known to the representatives of the clubs, so the teams from the First League are unlikely to be able to pull it, ”Championship” quotes Kiryakov.

The 2022/23 season in Russia will resume with FONBET Russian Cup matches, which will begin on February 22. The WORLD RPL season will resume on March 3. Broadcasts of RPL and Russian Cup matches can be watched on the Match TV federal channel, as well as on the thematic channels of the holding and on matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
