Paris Saint-Germain and France striker Kylian Mbappé echoed Emiliano Martinez’s scandalous gesture, which the Argentina goalkeeper showed during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Goalkeeper Award in Qatar, Sport Bible reports.
In the final of the World Cup in Qatar, Argentina beat the French (3:3, 4:2 – on pen.). Martinez was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament. After playing during the awards ceremony, Martinez was noted for ambiguous behavior with the trophy, putting it to his groin.
On Sunday, Mbappe, leaving the PSG training ground, made the same gesture with an object that looked like a cup.
Martinez also laughed at Mbappe during the Argentine national team’s championship parade in Buenos Aires. Emiliano picked up a doll thrown by one of the fans, to which a photograph of Mbappe was glued.
