Real Madrid follows the former footballer’s coaching career Xabi Alonso.
Alonso knows the club well, its structure, philosophy and requirements. The Madrid club believes his return is a matter of time. If the current manager of the “creamy” Carlo Ancelotti, whose contract expires in 2024, leaves the team, then Alonso will be one of the candidates to replace him. It was reported that Zinedine Zidane, Raul and Mauricio Pochettino are also potential candidates for the post of Real Madrid head coach.
Xabi Alonso is currently at the helm of Bayer Leverkusen, which he took over in October last year. The team is in 9th place in the Bundesliga after 16 games with 21 points.
