“We realized that we had crossed the limit. We were young, it was crazy ”- Kokorin about friendship with Mamaev

Forward “Arisa” Alexander Kokorin in an interview with the French Footmercato spoke about friendship with ex-partner in the Russian national team Pavel Mamaev.
“For me, he is a great guy, but there is a problem when you start doing the wrong things. In fact, there must have always been some kind of problem when we rested together. We drank and from there, in general, problems. But after a well-known sad experience for him and me, we realized that we had crossed the limit, he really changed. I quit drinking 5 years ago.
We were young, it was crazy. I will be 32 soon, he will be 35, times have changed. He had a good level in CSKA, he played for about 8 years at a good level, but then we made a mistake, a big mistake, it affected our reputation, ”Kokorin said.
In September 2019, Kokorin and Mamaev were released early from prison, where they ended up for fights in Moscow. Both players were sentenced to 1.5 years.
