Press service RFS extension announced that a digital system that automatically recommends referees for matches has been named “Project of the Year” in the “Best IT Project in Sports Industry” nomination by the Global CIO professional community.
The system that RFS extension developed in collaboration with the Higher School of Economics, it takes into account thirty parameters, including the evaluation of the referees, the category of the match, the region and the need for rotation, which allows you to choose the most suitable referee for a given match. This is an auxiliary tool that minimizes the risks when choosing a referee for a match.
Within the digital platform RFS extension the algorithm works RPL and from the 2022/23 season it began operating in the First and Second Leagues. The system automatically receives referee data after matches and training to take into account their physical condition. The algorithm also takes into account the geography of the competition: time zones, distances between cities and the time it takes to travel between them.
