The German national team midfielder spoke about the fight against cancer

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Emre Can has opened up about his battle with thyroid cancer, which was discovered after joining Juventus from Liverpool in 2018.

I had thyroid cancer and needed urgent surgery. A lot has changed in my life. You can have a lot of money, you can have everything, but health is the most important thing. This is part of life and I suggest everyone to get tested. No matter how healthy a person considers himself, if you learn these things in time, treatment can be effective.

I am very grateful to the Juventus doctors. I received a call two months after my physical visit to the club. I didn’t know what was going on, I didn’t even know what a thyroid gland was, and I never thought I had cancer. It was worth moving to Turin just for that.

Head coach of Krasnodar Murad Musaev shared the team’s plans for winter training:

The work ahead is hard. Six games are scheduled during the training camp (from 14 to 28 January). The training program doesn’t change much. Everyone knows more or less what we will do.

Ideally I would like to play against foreign teams, but so far one opponent is from Kazakhstan, the rest from Russia. Strong opponents, but I would like some variety.
