Russian footballer Andrey Arshavin could have done better even though he took football seriously, said former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Arshavin played at Arsenal from 2009 to 2013
– A lot in a footballer’s career depends on his character and capabilities. It might seem that Arshavin somewhere is not serious about the matter, but this is not at all the case. I’ve seen him train, play for Arsenal, score against big teams in the Premier League and the Champions League, and what he means to the Russian team.
And about the unrealized potential: there is no need to regret anything. But I’m also sure that Andrei could have achieved more, – said Adebayor “Championship”.
Adebayor will perform at the “Legends Cup”, which will be held in Moscow from 10 to 12 February. Group A will feature Legends of Russia, Legends of Latin America and Legends of Europe. Group B included the All-Star Team, African Legends and CIS Legends.
Watch live broadcasts of the Legends Cup matches on the Match TV federal channel and the thematic channels of the holding, as well as on matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
