“We will fight with Berdyev for the top five. I see no reason to flounder in the middle of the table “- Yusupov

Sochi midfielder Artur Yusupov said that in the second part of the 2022/2023 season in the MIR Russian Premier League, the team will fight for top 5.

– Kurban Berdyev came – everything is fine. Changed tactics a bit. We play some interactions. Nothing happens on click. Thank God, now there are fees. I think with the new coach we will be a militant team. We will fight for the top five. Not such a big gap. The task has not been cancelled. They took fifth place in the RPL, then second. I see no reason for us to wallow in the middle of the table. The composition is plus or minus the same. Maybe they’ll take someone else. I would like to. And God bless us all. This was not enough in the first part of the championship, – said Yusupov “Championship”.

Bulykin named the position that Spartak needs to strengthen

Former Russian national football player Dmitry Bulykin expressed his opinion on how Spartak could strengthen during the winter window.

What kind of player does Spartak need in the winter transfer window? First of all, another goalscoring striker. They are already in a good position and can fight for the championship, but due to the atmosphere in the team there were disagreements.

Now we need a good coach who unites them with a single goal and task. If I were in Spartak, I would find another goalscoring striker in the winter and fight for the championship.

Amorim explains Casemiro’s surprise substitution against Newcastle

Mentor Manchester United Reuben Amorim he said he replaced the midfielder Casemiro during the 1–0 win over Newcastle United because he felt the Brazilian would “struggle” with the intensity of the second half.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte formed United’s midfield duo in the absence of Bruno Fernandes, who missed the match with a hamstring injury, but Amorim replaced the Brazilian with Leni Yoro in the 61st minute.

After seeing his number on the substitution board, Casemiro pointed to himself and was disappointed with Amorim’s decision to replace him so early in the match.

Asked to explain Casemiro’s substitution, Amorim replied: “At that moment I didn’t want to shoot [Матеуса] Cunho because he is the only one who allows us to be creative and I put him in position number 10. Jack [Флетчер] it was fresh and could continue, Manu [Угарте] he was cooler than Casemiro. In the end we decided to replace him because they were making a lot of quick passes and I felt that at that point he would have difficulty.”
