Bazhenov told how Spartak treats the rumors around Abaskal

Spartak’s manager for players on loan Nikita Bazhenov told Metaratings.ru that the players are abstracted from rumors about other clubs’ interest in the head coach of the Red-Whites Guillermo Abascal.

– There was information about the interest in Abaskal from European clubs. Do the talk that the Spaniard can leave Spartak affect the team and the motivation of the players?

– I know that sooner or later, when a person, player or coach shows good, great results, they show interest in him. Like it or not, in any sport. Therefore, all football players know that if you play at the level and show the result, then they show interest in you.

I admit that other teams are showing interest in Abaskal, but that doesn’t mean anything. Football players are abstracted from this – this is a given and everyday life of football. You just do what you do. I don’t think it will affect the guys.

The 33-year-old Spaniard headed Spartak in the summer of 2022. The Red-Whites, led by Abascal, scored 36 points after 17 rounds and are in second place in the WORLD RPL standings.
