Sochi forward Georgy Melkadze answered a question about a possible change of sports citizenship to Georgian.

– Change of citizenship to Georgian? This topic never started. Theoretically, even now I can change sports citizenship, but I am not doing anything for this. Now I am not going to change citizenship. I plan to fight for a place in the Russian national team, – Melkadze quotes the “Championship”.

The 25-year-old striker has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists.
