Navas said that “Rubin” notified him of the dismissal by e-mail

Cesar Navas said that the management of Kazan “Rubin” informed him of his resignation from the post of director of the club’s selection department by e-mail.

The champion of Russia, the owner of the Cup and the Super Cup of the country in the “Rubin” Navas on Monday told the “Championship” that he had left the structure of the club after the change of leadership. Since 2019, the Spaniard has served as director of the breeding department of Rubin.

– The former sports director of Rubin, Oleg Yarovinsky, called me a couple of months ago and said that big changes were coming at the club, that Rustem Saimanov was leaving and that the new club leaders probably did not count on him and the people who worked with him. Oleg confirmed to me last week that they want to fire us. So the news was expected but not confirmed until last week.

Am I upset? No, not upset. I understand that new leaders want to entrust our work to other people. This is bad news for me, because I was very happy to work at Rubin. This is a club and a team that I love and in which I spent very important years of my life. Nobody from the club called me to tell me the news. They sent me a simple email signed by CEO Alexander Aibatov to let me know that I was fired. Only one person from the club called me to talk about it. But he is not a leader – a simple worker, friend. No manager contacted me. Cold farewell…

Of course, I wanted to work at Rubin as long as possible. I was happy in this wonderful club. The contract with Rubin was calculated until August 2023. But the agreement on termination of the contract has already been signed. I am no longer in Rubin,” Navas told the “Championship”.

Navas has been playing for Rubin since 2009, for eight and a half seasons he played 255 matches for the team, scored 4 goals, became the champion of Russia (2009), the owner of the Russian Cup (2011/12), twice the owner of the Russian Super Cup (2010 and 2012) and bronze medalist of the Russian Championship (2010).

Navas retired as a player in February 2019.

Rubin is third in the MELBET First League standings with 37 points. Watch live broadcasts of the matches of the tournament on the federal channel Match TV and the thematic channels of the holding, as well as on the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
