“A club from Saudi Arabia offered Ozdoev a salary more than in Zenit” – a representative of a football player
Anzor Gargaev, a representative of Fatih Karagyumryuk midfielder Magomed Ozdoev, told RB Sport that his client refused to move to the club from Saudi Arabia for the sake of his family.
According to media reports, in the summer Ozdoev received official offers from two Saudi clubs: Al-Ittifaq and Damak.
Why did Magomed turn down an offer from a club from Saudi Arabia in the summer?
– Ozdoev has three children. He flew to see the city, the stadium. It was not Riyadh. It turned out that there is no international school in this city. And I wanted my children and wife to be there. In general, not the most comfortable conditions for a family.
Was it a good deal financially?
– They offered more than in Zenith. I was even surprised. There they gave serious money, not everyone could refuse. In general, I told him then that for the sake of such money you can endure. As the saying goes, strike while the iron is hot. But Magomed confidently made a decision – he gave priority to the family. And the championship in Turkey is stronger. And he can go to Saudi Arabia at the age of 35.
Do you think he’ll be okay at that age?
– Why not? He is a regime man, he trains hard. So, up to 38 years old can safely play.
Ozdoev moved to the Turkish club last summer. Since then, he has made 20 appearances for the team and scored three goals.
