Semak could easily coach Real Madrid, says Petrzhela

The head coach of Zenit Sergey Semak is able to lead any team in the world, Vlastimil Petrzhela, the former head coach of the St. Petersburg team, told RB Sport.

– In the near future, Sergei Semak will not be able to move to work in Europe because of his dislike for the Russians, because of the whole situation in the world. But! Semak is a good specialist who won everything in Russia, he could lead any team in the world – a club from the Premier League, La Liga or Serie A. The main thing is to know the language, it’s not a problem to learn, maybe he knows English or Spanish.

The same Real Madrid, he could easily train if everything was good in the world. I repeat, due to the current situation, not a single Russian player or coach will be able to leave for Europe – this is impossible for obvious reasons. The qualities that Sergey has allow him to work at the highest level, he is a good coach, but, unfortunately for him, sport is politics today, Petrzhela said.

Sergei Semak has been the head of Zenit since June 2018. Under him, the Blue-White-Blues won the gold medals of the Russian Championship four times in a row.

This season, MIR RPL Zenit scored 42 points in 17 matches and leads the standings.

The Russian football season will resume on February 22 with FONBET Russian Cup matches. On March 3, the WORLD RPL draw will continue. Live broadcasts of RPL matches and the National Cup are available on the Match TV federal channel and the thematic channels of the holding, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.

Coach Noah: The club’s progress to the play-offs is a great achievement for Ukrainian football

Head coach Noah Sandro Perkovic commented on his team’s defeat against Dynamo (0:2) in the sixth round of the main round of the Conference League.

Our mentor exclaimed in front of his players about the club’s historic achievements:

“First of all, I would like to say a word of thanks to our Gravians and greet the team. For the first time in history, Noa reached the play-offs of the European Cup tournament. This is a great achievement not only for the club, but also for Ukrainian football. We are further collapsing,” Perkovich said.

Speaking of the match itself, the coach welcomed Dynamo to victory and expressed the high level of respect for the opponent:

“The team looked very solid in the beginning, caused a number of unsafe moments, but could not open the door. I said before the match that Dynamo is a great club. In matches with such teams, many mistakes can be made. Today they punished us for this,” said the mentor.

Perkovich emphasized that his team was not surprised by the defeat of the Kiev club:

“Dynamo has not suffered at all. This is a very good team, which clearly plays in defense and has a wide variety of tactical plans. Perhaps we did not realize that the stench is so fragrant from the first days of the century and blessed for the decade and in attack,” the coach added.

He also famously said that Noah wasted no energy for a positive outcome:

“We attacked, pressed, tried to earn as much as possible. So we could have played more than ten times under the hour from the opponent’s overhead passes, but I won’t say we played badly. Dynamo just showed very good football today,” Perkovich summarized.

In the group stage of the Conference League, Noah scored all points in six games and took 19th place. This result allowed the Virmen club to reach the 1/16 finals of the LK.
