Turkey football goalkeeper dies in earthquake
The goalkeeper of the Turkish football club Yeni Malatyaspor, 28-year-old Ahmet Turkaslan, died as a result of an earthquake in the country, the press service of the team said.
More than 4,500 people died as a result of the earthquakes in Turkey that occurred on Monday.
“Our goalkeeper Ahmet Türkaslan died after falling under the collapse of the earthquake. Rest in peace. We will not forget you, beautiful person.
Turkaslan in the 2022/23 season played two games in the Turkish Cup and conceded four goals.
Yeni Malatyaspor represents the second strongest Turkish league. The team is in last place in the table with 16 points.
