Striker Artem Dzyuba should be over-motivated after moving to Lokomotiv, Valery Nepomnyashchy, former head coach of Tom, told RB Sport.

Dzyuba became a Lokomotiv player on Wednesday, the agreement of the 34-year-old football player is calculated until the end of this season. Dziuba will play for the railway under the 7th number.

– That I’m happy for Artyom is too loudly said. But I understand that the Russian Championship needs such a player. Dziuba is still capable of much. He is definitely a player for the top six or eight of the Premier League. Lokomotiv is in a difficult situation. Dziuba, of course, will help.

– What should Dziuba do to make his transition to Lokomotiv considered successful?

– Play as best he can. With all my might. I think he will be super motivated. I don’t know how much Dzyuba should score. But for you journalists, his appearance is a piece of bread and butter. And Lokomotiv fans will probably be very worried. I’m not sure that Dziuba will be accepted with open arms.

– Artem has a difficult character. What advice would you give to Lokomotiv head coach Mikhail Galaktionov on how to deal with Dziuba?

Giving advice like that is like picking a bride for a groom. There can be no advice here. Not so Galaktionov will think about it, as Dziuba himself. When he came to Tom, we had a very short conversation with him. I told him: “You have a chance to prove.” He replied: “I understand everything.” That was the end of his motivation from me.

– Dzyuba is not used to fighting for survival. Will this be a problem for him?

– The situation itself will make him think all the time that in each game he should give all the best for 100 percent or more.

Dziuba is a four-time champion of Russia, a three-time winner of the Russian Cup. In August last year, the Russian signed a contract with the Turkish club Adana Demirspor, in November Dziuba left the team.

Lokomotiv is 14th in the WORLD standings of the Russian Premier League (RPL) with 13 points. In the first round after the resumption of the championship, the Red-Greens will play away with Rostov on March 4.
