“There were offers, including from abroad, but I want to be with my family” – Mamaev about his retirement

Former midfielder of the Russian national team Pavel Mamaev admitted that he completed his sports career, despite the presence of offers from abroad.
The last club in the career of 34-year-old Mamaev was Khimki near Moscow, which the football player left in July 2022.
— I made this decision towards the end of August. Although I can admit that I received 3-4 proposals, including from abroad. However, I spent a gorgeous summer with my wife and newborn son and realized that I was just tired. I want to be with my family more, – Mamaev is quoted by Match TV.
Previously, Mamaev also played for Torpedo, CSKA, Krasnodar and Rostov. As part of the Russian national team, he took part in the 2016 European Championship.
