“If Golovin is comfortable in Monaco, then you have to stay” – Aldonin
Alexander Golovin shows himself well in Monaco, and if he is comfortable there, then why not stay there, ex-CSKA football player Evgeny Aldonin told RB Sport.
According to L’Equipe, Golovin will soon extend his contract with Monaco, which expires in 2024.
– If Golovin was offered a contract by Borussia, then this would be a possible option for the transition, but we do not know all the details. If Alexander is comfortable in Monaco, then why shouldn’t he stay there. In this team, he shows himself well, scores, returns, plays quite regularly. Borussia Dortmund is a different culture, a championship, but the level of the German team is similar to Monaco. There would be an offer from England, Italy or Spain, then Golovin could think about the transition. Maybe the interest from Borussia was artificially created so that Monaco would hurry up and offer a new contract, Aldonin said.
Golovin moved to Monaco in the summer of 2018.
