Yuri Zhirkov announced the end of his professional career
Former midfielder of CSKA and the Russian national team Yuri Zhirkov announced the end of his professional career as a football player.
The last club of the 39-year-old Zhirkov was Khimki near Moscow. At the end of last season, the player left the team and became a free agent. On February 12, the footballer won the Legends Cup-2023 as part of the Russian national team.

Zhirkov is a five-time champion of Russia, a six-time winner of the Cup and Super Cup of the country, winner of the championship, Cup and Super Cup of England, winner of the UEFA Cup. In addition to CSKA and Khimki, the footballer played for Dynamo Moscow, Anzhi Makhachkala, Zenit St. Petersburg and Chelsea London.
