A mass brawl between Russian and Ukrainian footballers took place in the Turkish Royal Seginus hotel, reports the Telegram Baza channel. Players from both teams live there.
According to preliminary data, the conflict began on the evening of February 13th. Several representatives of the Ukrainian club “Minay” approached the head of the Yaroslavl “Shinnik” and asked him to sing the anthem of Ukraine. He suggested that the Ukrainians go out into the street and “work it out every now and then”, but the hotel staff intervened in the situation and the conflict died down.
Subsequently, several players of the Ukrainian club ended up in the same elevator with a player from Yaroslavl and beat him. When the elevator hit the floor, a group of Shinnik football players were there and a mass fight broke out between the Russian and Ukrainian players. The hotel had to call the police and an ambulance. Now there are still one-time skirmishes between club representatives. The hotel now has two additional police officers and guards on duty on a permanent basis.
The hotel confirmed the information about the brawl, but noted that “everything is calm now”.
