Fifa approved the confederation quotas for participation in the 2025 Club World Cup, which will take place in a new format.
Uefa will receive 12 seats, the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) will occupy 6 positions, Asian Football Confederation (AFC), African Football Confederation (CAF), North and Central America and Caribbean Football Confederation (CONCACAF) will fill 4 positions each, the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) will receive one ticket. Another seat will be taken by the host of the tournament.
It was reported that this decision on the distribution of applications was made on the basis of a number of objective indicators and criteria.
