    In 2024, the arbitration court sentenced Juventus to pay Ronaldo 9.7 million euros, which the player was initially supposed to receive as severance pay after moving to England’s Manchester United. A further agreement was concluded on bonuses for this amount until 31 July 2021, which were never paid, after which the Portuguese sued the club.
