The head coach of Krylia Sovetov, Igor Osinkin, said that he trained four times at London’s Chelsea.

— I can’t say that any one separate internship gave me everything that I have now. The process of improvement and learning happens every day. To accept and understand what I saw at Chelsea, I had to be ready for it. We trained in clubs of different countries. Everyone has their own characteristics, which you should be able to isolate with your eyes. In the same Chelsea, I was four times: Hiddink, Scolari, Mourinho and Ancelotti – they are all different.

The most memorable was under Ancelotti – we were there for 16 whole days. Then Roman Arkadyevich Abramovich, apparently, asked to treat us as carefully as possible. Chelsea’s then sporting director Mike Emenalo gave us the opportunity to fully communicate with every department of the club. Everyone talked to us: the goalkeeping coach, the youth team coach, the fitness coach, Ancelotti himself. Most of all, by the way, I remember the conversation with the head of the scientific group. He came to Chelsea from Milan along with Carlo. In Italy, he built all the progressive methods of scientific approach in football. This professor knew how and loved to talk, we then talked for six hours! He has a huge store of knowledge. All the latest developments passed through it. He was very open to us, – said Osinkin “Championship”.

Osinkin headed the “Wings of the Soviets” in 2020. The team is on the 11th line of the WORLD RPL standings, gaining 20 points in 17 matches.

The Russian football season will resume on February 22 with the matches of the FONBET Cup of Russia, and on March 3 the WORLD RPL will continue.
