Miranchuk proved his worth in Italy with his game, Gurenko believes
Midfielder Alexei Miranchuk proved his worth in Italy, it will be a plus for him if he becomes a full-fledged player of Torino, according to ex-midfielder of Roma, Parma and Piacenza Sergey Gurenko.
– I think if Miranchuk is comfortable in Torino, if he likes everything there, then why not stay there. Atalanta doesn’t count on him. Even if you take into account accommodation, Turin is very comfortable. The fans there love the club, a team with a long tradition, even greater than that of Juventus.
Torino is now a strong Italian middle peasant, I don’t see anything shameful for Miranchuk to stay there. If Torino is in talks, it means they like Miranchuk’s game, they see his prospects. I think that Alexey is a great fellow, his game proved his worth in Italy. I think it will even be a plus for him if he becomes a full-fledged Torino player. Everything is in his hands. If he plays well, then there are other, stronger clubs, other championships.
His contract with Atalanta ends in 2024. This increases his chances: if Miranchuk plays the same way he plays now in Torino, then any club will take him for free. This is unprofitable for Atalanta, so the club may be trying to negotiate and sell it now. Atalanta does everything right, because this is how they can make money, – Gurenko said Vprognoze.ru
The midfielder’s agreement with Atalanta runs until the summer of 2024, but the club has the priority right to extend the contract until 2026. Miranchuk stands for Torino on loan.
The 27-year-old has made 18 appearances for Torino in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
Live broadcasts of Italian Championship A matches are broadcast live on TV channels of the Match group and on matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
