Hatayspor officially announced the death of football player Atsu under the rubble in Turkey

Ghanaian midfielder of Hatayspor Christian Atsu died as a result of a devastating earthquake in Turkey, the press service of the Turkish club confirmed.
A series of earthquakes occurred on February 6 in southeastern Turkey. The victims of the disaster were tens of thousands of people in Turkey and Syria.
— The body of our football player Christian Atsu, who died under the rubble, is being prepared for shipment to his hometown in Ghana.
We won’t forget you, Atsu. Peace be upon you, beautiful man. There are no words to describe our sadness. Rest in peace,” Hatayspor said in a statement.
The 31-year-old Atsu has played for Porto, Chelsea, Everton, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Vitesse and Malaga throughout his career. The midfielder has over 60 caps for the Ghana national team.
