Former Argentina striker Mario Kempes said that Lionel Messi has not yet returned to his level after the World Cup in Qatar.
“From what I see on the field, he pays for the physical and mental wear and tear required for the World Cup. He won the tournament, but now he’s back with the Parisians without enough time to rest.
He lacks that extra motivation to do what he did during the World Cup. Messi plays in a league that is not one of the best, but he feels comfortable there. He can stay there for another 3 and a half years if he decides for himself that he can play at the next World Cup, – quotes the words of Kempes TNT Sports Argentina.
Messi has made 26 appearances for PSG this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 14 assists.
