Zenit-2 coach Andrei Pocheptsov noted that the team is faced with the task of developing players to the level of the RPL.
– The main goal is to prepare players for a higher level – the first team or other RPL clubs. The main thing is that the players develop all the time.
Of course, I would like to mainly prepare players for the first team. But, perhaps, this is the fate of all the top clubs, whose pupils have to go through a more difficult path through loans in other teams. There are vivid examples when at first someone got some kind of intermediate experience. And this is normal – it is difficult for a graduate of the academy to immediately break into the first team, in which even the players of the Russian national team are in constant competition and rotation, – quotes the words of the coach “Sports Day after Day”.
Zenit-2 ranks seventh in the current standings of the Second League.
