Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has spoken out about the team’s unsatisfactory results this season.
– It’s really hard. The players we have are not 28-year-olds who have played 400 Premier League games. These are young players who need time to adapt.
We had a sub-optimal pre-season, talking to our experienced guys about it, they thought it was the worst thing they’ve ever had. No one can be blamed for this. This happened. In organizational terms, the pre-season tour did not go as well as they would like. I wasn’t there, I can’t say anything. Then there was a change of coach, old players left, new ones came.
I don’t think anyone really cares. They have been asking me about pressure for four months now. When the results are what they are, you accept it. Fans have the right to be angry. I’m not here to convince them with words. My actions must convince them. We have to win matches,” Potter said.
The London club is in 10th place in the current Premier League standings.
