A young Russian football player not so long ago rejoiced at his first training camp as part of the RPL team. There were high hopes for the player, who first got into the squad for an official Premier League match at the age of 17.

However, the tragedy ended the life of the athlete and prevented all these plans from being realized …

“Good boy”

– Last night, nineteen-year-old goalkeeper Davyd Alekseev died. He is our local pupil. Our entire club mourns this tragic event. We express our condolences to all friends and relatives of Davyd, – said the press service of Ural.

It is known that on Saturday, February 25, the goalkeeper died after falling out of the window. Neither the club nor the athlete’s relatives give more detailed comments. The president of the Yekaterinburg team, Grigory Ivanov, said that the young footballer was on loan, he was training and everything was in order.

The president of “Ural” promised to help the family. The Russian Football Union and the Russian Premier League expressed their condolences to the relatives of Alekseev. The Russian Cup match between Ural and Rostov, which will be held in Yekaterinburg on February 27, will begin with a moment of silence.

A pupil of VIZ-Sinara and Ural spent some time in the youth team of the Bumblebees, he played for Ural-2. In November 2020, the 17-year-old goalkeeper even got into the application for the official Bumblebee game against Spartak, but did not manage to make his debut in the Premier League. But Davyd managed to work at the training camp with the base of the Yekaterinburg club and even take part in several friendly matches.

Last summer, the football player joined the Vladivostok Dynamo squad, where he played nine matches in the Second League and four in the Russian Cup. In winter, the Far Eastern team went to Turkey for a training camp, but without Alekseev. The club terminated relations with Davyd and four other players, which is reported on the team’s website without any detailed comments. Due to the short period between the termination of the contract and the death of the player, speculation about the causes of the tragedy immediately arose. But there is no official information about a possible connection between these two events.
